Sophia Culhane
Sophia Culhane is a rising star on the World Longboard Tour, known for her unique style and fierce competition. Born and raised in the surf haven of Hawaii, Sophia started surfing at just four years old in Waikiki. Her passion for the ocean runs deep, and her longboard—featuring a rainbow stripe in honor of her late father—reflects that connection.
At only 16, Sophia took 1st place at the Surfing For Hope Longboard Classic and 2nd at the Malibu Longboard Championships, ending 2022 ranked 3rd in the world. With her smooth yet powerful movements, she’s quickly becoming one of the most exciting talents on tour.
Now, as she gears up for the 2025 season, Sophia has her sights set on the World Title. Her unwavering dedication, competitive spirit, and aloha energy make her a thrilling athlete to watch. The tide is rising, and Sophia Culhane is making waves!
