Sol Aguirre

Olympic professional surfer from Peru, Sol Aguirre is a fierce and creative force within surf. Born in Lima, she found her love of surf through her father at just 5 years old and began her competitive journey not long after.

Aguirre's competitive journey began at just 8 years old, and by 14, she became the youngest National Open Champion in Peru's history. Her international acclaim grew as she secured multiple titles, including the South American Junior Champion in 2017, 2018, and 2021, equaling the record held by Brazilian Diana Cristina. Sol broke that record in 2022 when she secured her fourth South American Junior Championship title, solidifying her status as one of the continent's top female surfers.

Aguirre's prowess on the waves earned her a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics at Teahupo’o, marking a significant milestone in her career.

Aguirre approaches each session of surf with her signature passion, joy and commitment to excellence. In addition to surf, Sol loves to express herself through art, music and content creation.

As she sets her sights on the 2025 Challenger Series, she aims to qualify for the Championship Tour and continue representing Peru on the global stage.
