Roos Zwetsloot is one of the most dynamic and influential figures in modern skateboarding — a Dutch street skater whose creativity, grit, and style have propelled her to the top of the sport. As a member of the inaugural Olympic skateboarding team, Roos made her mark at the sport’s debut in Tokyo 2020, finishing 5th in the world and as the top European. She returned to the global stage at Paris 2024, once again finishing as Europe’s best, cementing her legacy as a two-time Olympian.

Roos’s journey began at just eight years old, skating the streets of the Netherlands when few girls were doing the same. Guided by her father’s mantra — “If you believe in yourself, anything is possible” — she built a career grounded in resilience, creativity, and purpose. Since her debut at the Dutch National Championships in 2016, she’s become a three-time Dutch National Champion, earned four Street League Skateboarding (SLS) podium finishes, and made history as the first woman ever to grind the legendary Hollywood 16 stair rail in Los Angeles — a feat celebrated with a full Thrasher Magazine spread.

Known for her technical precision, signature heelflip, and fearless street style, Roos continues to push boundaries — both in competition and in culture. Off the board, she’s an entrepreneur and creative force, leading projects that blend sport, style, and storytelling. She has a signature shoe with Cariuma, launched her own clothing line with Decathlon, collaborated on a custom skate shoe with Cariuma, and published her children’s book “Het geheime skategenootschap” (The Secret Skate Society) with Kosmos Publishers — inspiring kids to find confidence and creativity in being different. As an ambassador for Boarding for Breast Cancer, she uses her voice to promote empowerment, health, and community.
