Joey Yarbrough

OLYMPIC HOPEFUL - TOP AMERICAN PARK SKATEBOARDER

Olympic hopeful Joey Yarbrough is one of the fastest-rising athletes in women's skateboarding. At just 13 years old, Joey competes across Park and Vert, representing the United States at Olympic-qualifying World Skate events and establishing herself among the sport's elite.

Practically raised on a skateboard, Joey has been skating since she was one year old, when her dad first put her on a board. At just 18 months, she joined the Exposure Skate Rising program, and by age six, she was competing in contests. Since then, she has built an impressive record of podium finishes, including the 2024 Jackalope Virginia Beach Women's Vert Championship. Known for her style, creativity, technical precision, and smooth execution, Joey's Caballerials, nollie variations, and hurricane grinds have become signatures of her skating.

Most recently, Joey was the highest-finishing American woman at the 2026 World Skate Rome World Cup, advancing to the semifinals and finishing 13th overall against the world's best park skateboarders.

In 2026, Joey made the most of her Rockstar Energy Open Portland debut, battling through the elimination rounds and finishing an impressive 5th overall in Women's Park against a field of established professionals.  In back-to-back events, she then made the final round at Tony Hawk's invite-only Vert Alert competition featuring an elite international field. Competing successfully at both events is a testament to the level at which Joey is already skating, alongside world champions, Olympians, and two-time Olympians.

An X Games League Free Agent, Joey is the 2024 Jackalope Virginia Beach Women's Vert Champion, 2023 Exposure Vert Intermediate Champion, 2024 Exposure Bowl Open Pro Finalist (4th Place), and a 2024 X Games Women's Vert competitor. Internationally, she has represented the United States at World Skate events in Rome, São Paulo, Ostia, and the World Skate Games, advancing through quarterfinals and semifinals.

Just as impressive is who Joey is off the board. A favorite among her peers, she is known for encouraging younger kids and bringing an optimistic, kind, generous, and positive energy to every environment. Her determination, work ethic, and professionalism make her the kind of athlete brands love to work with.

With her sights set on qualifying for her first Olympic Games at LA28, Joey is rapidly emerging as a next-generation contender—and an athlete with the talent, personality, and authenticity to connect far beyond competition.
